Hey Jody! You were right, the weather in New York was perfect when I was there last week! Oh, how I wish I could still be there watching Jersey Boys and Next to Normal.
; )
That's good to know. I read that May is the rainiest month in NY, but I can deal with that. It's the cold I can't handle. I'd prefer it didn't rain, though.
; )
Hi Jody! I love the OBC, too. I was so fortunate to see them before JLY and Danny left, and then see Christian and Bobby two more times last year. This May will be the first time I see an entire "new" cast. How is the weather in NY in late May? I hope it's warm enough for me to handle. ; )
Jody,
It seems to me like JLY has done a complete turn around since his JB days - new girl friend/new home. He seems quite close to Lea. I don't remember him putting Alison's picture on his website like he has been doing with Lea. The only time I remember seeing him and Alison was on Broadway World whenever the Papermill Playhouse had an opening night for one of their plays. He certainly does look happy with her.
He certainly seems to be surrounding himself with influential people in LA. With Lea's new pilot on Fox in the beginning of the year, she can introduce him to people in the TV business. I don't know either why he hasn't landed a new role. Right now with his relationship with Lea, I doubt if he wants to be on Broadway in NYC right now. I would not be surprised if we hear that they are engaged soon!
Hi Jody,
I have been sad lately as I have come to the conclusion that the JB ride has now ended. Yes, I will see the show again, but it is not the same now that everyone has left. I am going on the 25th to the matinee, as I want to see the new cast. I will see the new matinee Frankie. At the stage door afterwards I won't know anyone though except maybe Kris Coleman and Eric Gutman. It looks like JLY has settled into LA with his new girl friend and new dog! I am waiting patiently for his next project...Do you have tickets for Pal Joey yet? If you do, when are you going?
Beth and I have been emailing, well sending messages, a lot too. She's a sweetheart. I am so happy you're feeling better. That's really great. School is fine. My classes have settled down a bit. I'm in Drama, granted I'm taking Drama I for the second time, but at least I'm on my feet performing, which I love to do. All my other classes are pretty cool. I got a good score on my first essay and test in AP Literature, my first essay in AP French, and my first quiz in AP Calculus, so I'm very happy about that. This week just went better I guess. First off, I ended last week by opening a letter from JLY, so that's ALWAYS nice. Hmm I need to write him another letter... And the next day I saw the musical Assassins. I had wanted to see that for a while now, and it was a great production. It was in this tiny theatre. I loved it. So those things over the weekend, just carried over and made the week a little better. That's so cool, that you're walking for Breast Cancer. That's really great. Last year I did the LA AIDS Walk, and I'm hoping to do it again this year. That one's like 6.2 miles! It was crazy, but I had a good time doing it. Good luck on that walk! Talk to you soon!
Goodness, JLY withdrawals are killer aren't they? My weekend has been fine. I'm finishing summer assignments before school starts tomorrow. Fun stuff. So many things just take me back to Les Miz and meeting Jen and JLY. The new videos are great, even if they make me want to cry sometimes. The new "A Little Fall of Rain"=Amanda sobbing, especially when it reaches the end. And "Empty Chairs" still gives me goosebumps! I'm kind of looking forward to school so I can tell my friends about Les Miz and JLY and how wonderful and amazing he is! That will be so much fun. I need to print out a picture of him, so I can show people how adorable he is. And maybe the one of him teaching me to use my camera...I should post that here soon. Tiggerbelle sent some pictures to me. But he's such a cutie. But in short, I'm doing alright. JLwithdrawals (I think I'm going to make that a new word...like elaine's JLYettes) are tough, but I'll cope well enough. How are you doing?
Hey Jody!
I couldn't agree more...it would be so much harder without any of my JB friends or JLY or JB itself.
I would be the loneliest person in the world. :-{
But, I'm not. So that's a good thing.
How've you been?
Hi Jody!
So I am a certified JLY fan for life now. He was incredible, and such a lovely person. Anyway, how are you doing? I'm currently trying to find out if there will be a DVD release of Les Miz. I'll keep you posted. I told JLY and Jen you said hi. Goodness he is just so talented. I swear one of my favorite moments every night was just this little part before the finale when he sang, "He took me from the barricade, carried like a babe and brought me home to you." He's talking to Cosette about Jean Valjean who saved his life, and of course Empty Chairs at Empty Tables was always gorgeous. I had a friend who used that as an audition song a year ago. If he ever wants to hear a good recording of it, I am totally recommending JL's performance. It was so gorgeous. How's life?
